Facilitating and Workshops

I am a trained facilitator experienced in working with young people, marginalised communities, SEND and disabled participants and more.

I have designed and delivered sessions for nationally recognised venues, local drama or community organisations, and are available for freelance hire as a Lead or Assistant Facilitator.

Youth Theatre

I have designed, delivered and supported youth theatre workshops for ages 5-21 for years. This includes working with youth company programmes at The Marlowe Theatre and The Gulbenkian Theatre (ARTS31), and supporting rehearsals for The National Theatre Connections programme.

The workshops enrich young people with the creative, social and personal skills needed to become confident theatremakers, with knowledge on a variety of genres, styles and approaches to theatre craft - all designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind.

The result of Youth Company sessions range in scale, from an informal sharing with family and friends, to a professional scale production working with a team of creatives and mentors, for a public, paying audience.

I measure success in the individual growth, enjoyment and fulfilment of my participants, whilst creating a high-quality, enjoyable piece of theatre.

Stand Up Comedy Classes

I deliver singular or regular stand-up comedy classes, covering the basics of persona, material, audience work and more.

These are tailored for each client, so are appropriate for all adults or teenagers, of any or no experience, and can result in a final sharing, or just for fun and confidence building.

I recommend working in groups of four or more, but can teach small groups or individuals too.

Bespoke Community Workshops
With Bits & Pieces Theatre

Myself and the B&P Team can deliver bespoke workshops for LGBTQ+ theatremakers, or allies hoping to make their practice more inclusive and educate themselves.

Currently available are:

- Gender Inclusive Theatre Making

- Drag History and Persona

- Gendering Shakespeare

Rehearsal and Development

I have also facilitated drama workshops to support the research, rehearsal and development of professional productions.

Most recently, I collaborated with Alice Blundell and The Marlowe Theatre to deliver a three-day creative programme for 5-8 year olds to explore community, identity, protest and how to use your voice to speak up for your beliefs. This was to support the R&D of The Reluctant Dragon, a new play being produced for The Marlowe Studio in December 2026.

Book Clubs

I have supported the curation and delivery of book clubs for 5-14 year old local home education groups. This was produced to align with The Marlowe Theatre's programme of touring shows, allowing young people to discover new literature and experience the journey from page to stage.

The workshops included group reading, discussing themes of the text and, of course, exciting theatre trips and tours!
